Location

We are based in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, the home of NZ mountaineering. We have New Zealand’s highest peaks and the most extensive glaciation on our doorstep. We also guide in Westland, Fiordland, Aspiring, and the Remarkables (near Queenstown).

Pedigree

All our mountain guides are professionals, qualified through the IFMGA (International Federation of Moutain Guides Associations) / NZMGA (New Zealand Mountain Guides Association).

Support

Base support staff 7 days/week, FM radio network/comms, satellite phones, air transport coordination, local accommodation, avalanche forecasting, free use of our technical gear…

Reality

Mountain guiding is not about being reckless. On our trips, you'll get plenty of adventure. You'll visit amazing places, develop new skills, and at times will be challenged. But we want you to go home alive and enriched by your time here.

All our trips and courses are based on reality, not marketing hype. We have developed, tested, and refined our guiding program to give the best chance of success. Your safety while enjoying the mountains is our overriding concern.
