Caro started skiing and climbing in her early teens. She escaped Auckland city to university in Christchurch so as to get closer to the mountains.

Caroline's international experience in the mountains has taken her from NZ to the USA, Canada, Europe & Himalayas.

For the past few years she's been living in the UK, working at 'Plas y Brenin', National Mountain Centre for England & Wales, and also guiding on the European continent.

The 2006/07 summer sees her welcome return to Mt Cook. We'll need to find out what's she's really been up to on her time way - apart from relaxing in Chamonix cafes...
