Guide Qualifications

All our mountain and ski guides are professionals, trained and certified through the New Zealand Mountain Guides Association or IFMGA training program.

A career in guiding is a major commitment. Full certification takes an average 10 years of experience and 5 years of working through a range of assessment courses.

The NZMGA system recognises different levels of qualification. Visit the NZMGA for information on guiding certification ›
